Commands

crictl pods

crictl pods | ps [-a] [--name <regex>] | logs [--tail N] <container id> | images

Risk: Safe

What it does

Looks straight at the stove: the pods, containers and images containerd has on this one node.

When to use it

Inside a node, when kubectl can't help: the API server or the kubelet is down.

Example

$ crictl ps -a

Every container on this stall, stopped ones too.

$ crictl pods --name oven

Only the pods whose name matches oven.

$ crictl logs <container id>

A container's last words. The first letters of the id are enough.

$ crictl images

What the stove has pulled onto this machine.
