etcdutl [--write-out=table|json] snapshot status <file>

What it does

Reads a snapshot file: its hash, revision, keys and size. In etcd 3.7, etcdctl no longer does this.

When to use it

Right after a save, and before any restore. Trust a copy only after you check it.
