systemctl status|is-active|is-enabled|start|restart|stop|enable
systemctl status|is-active|is-enabled|start|restart|stop|enable <service>
Risk: Careful
What it does
Talks to systemd, the machine's power room: is a service like the kubelet running? Start, restart or stop it.
When to use it
Inside a node. status only looks; start, restart and stop change the node.
Example
$ systemctl status kubeletIs the supervisor on duty, and since when?
$ systemctl start kubeletBring a stopped supervisor back. The stall turns Ready.
$ systemctl restart kubeletStop and start it, after a kubelet setting changes.
$ systemctl is-enabled kubeletDoes it start by itself at boot?
$ systemctl stop kubeletCareful: the stall goes NotReady soon after. Throwaway clusters only.
